We support teachers’ education and other school personnel to improve the quality of education while linking education programs to interventions in health, nutrition and livelihoods
Millennium Child Support Group is dedicated to advocate for improving the quality of education by supporting teachers' education and enhancing the skills of other school personnel. We firmly believe that through these efforts, we can successfully link education programs to interventions in health, nutrition, and livelihoods, thereby contributing to holistic and sustainable development.

As an organization committed to the betterment of education globally, we understand the crucial role teachers and school staff play in facilitating effective learning environments. We emphasize the continuous professional development of teachers, providing them with opportunities to enhance their teaching methodologies, subject knowledge, and leadership skills. By doing so, we aim to empower educators and equip them with the necessary tools to inspire and empower their students.

In addition to focusing on teachers, we recognize the significance of other school personnel, such as administrators, counsellors, and support staff. These individuals contribute immensely to creating a nurturing and inclusive school environment, one that fosters both academic and personal growth. Through tailored training programs and capacity-building

initiatives, we aim to strengthen their skills and competencies, enabling them to effectively support students' holistic development.

Furthermore, we firmly believe in the interconnectedness of education with various aspects of individuals' lives. Education serves as a powerful platform to address the challenges faced by communities, such as health disparities, inadequate nutrition, and limited livelihood opportunities. By integrating education programs with interventions in health, nutrition, and livelihoods, we strive to create a comprehensive approach that addresses these challenges at their roots. This integrated approach not only enhances the educational experience but also contributes to the overall well-being and prosperity of individuals, families, and communities.

Gender inequalities in education are greatest challenges among the children

Gender Inequalities in Education

Gender inequalities in education are among the greatest challenges, especially for children with disabilities such as epilepsy in the country.

Challenges Faced by Adolescent Girls:

Adolescent girls encounter specific challenges to staying in school and learning. In many contexts, as girls approach puberty, their opportunities can shrink compared to those of their brothers, underpinned by harmful gender norms that impose restrictions on their mobility.

Burden of Domestic Work and Risk of Violence:

Girls and young women also face a disproportionate burden of domestic work and are at greater risk of violence, including sexual violence.

Millennium Child Support Group's Initiatives

Millennium Child Support Group supports thousands of the poorest girls to improve their lives through education. We seek to support initiatives that aim to:

  • Find better ways of getting girls into school.
  • Ensure they receive a quality education to transform their futures.

Our initiatives support interventions for highly marginalized adolescent girls who are out of school (either because they have never attended school or have already dropped out without gaining a basic education) to:

  • (Re-) Enroll in Education
  • Gain Employment
  • Improve the Quality of Their Family Lives
